Young NCB NI topYoung NCB NI has regular advisory group meetings.  Aside from working on our first priority; ‘children and young people’s health issues (including mental health and eating disorders) we also have opportunities for doing some fun activities such as visiting the local activity centre for a bit of fun and team building excercises... and getting very wet of course!

Once such event in October 2008 included YNCB NI members participating in a live debate on the causes and solutions to underage drinking, smoking and drug taking in the Debating Chamber of the Stormont Parliament Buildings.

Other YNCB NI members have been participating in a Young Researchers project looking at Attitudes to Difference, specifically about young people and ethic groups in Northern Ireland.

These young researchers have attended a two-day training and introduction course and have led peer research within schools, including discussions and one-to-one interviews.
