Young NCB NI
has regular advisory group meetings. Aside
from working on our first priority; ‘children and young
people’s health issues (including mental health and eating
disorders) we also have opportunities for doing some fun activities
such as visiting the local activity centre for a bit of fun
and team building excercises... and getting very wet of
course! |
 |
Once such
event in October 2008 included YNCB NI members participating in a
live debate on the causes and solutions to underage drinking,
smoking and drug taking in the Debating Chamber of the Stormont
Parliament Buildings. |
 |
Other YNCB NI
members have been participating in a Young Researchers project
looking at Attitudes to Difference, specifically about
young people and ethic groups in Northern Ireland.
These young researchers have attended a two-day training and
introduction course and have led peer research within schools,
including discussions and one-to-one interviews. |
 |
Alongside
Young People in England, Scotland and Wales, YNCB NI helped design
a poster on their rights when visiting the doctor, which is now
displayed in schools and Youth clubs all over the U.K |

And of course
what every we do, they'll always be time for a spot of lunch! |
