Is your local transport top notch or is it so rubbish it's not
even worth having?
Young NCB's Advisory Group of young people have chosen the issue
of pushing for free/cheaper public tranport for children and young
people all over England (and not just in London as it is now) as
one of their priorities for the year.
Is this a problem for you? Does the cost of travel stop you
doing things you want to do? What else would make it easier for
young people to get around?

"The prices of bus and train fares for young people
are incredible expensive. It would be so helpful to people who get
the bus or train to school for the fares to be free or
cheaper."

"I think this is really good idea because England is
a very big country so every child in England should enjoy free
transport, not only London although London is a popular city. I
personally think it is free transport in London because they want
more tourism, which can be a result of greediness. This is not fair
at all."

"Yesterday on the news they said that train ticket
prices are going up yet again. I feel sorry for the thousands of
commuters and regular public transport users (like myself) for
having no power whatsoever from this happening, when the service we
recieve is already well below par. It seems completely unnecessary,
and it seems quite convienient that they would raise prices now
when the price of EVERYTHING ELSE is going up too. How
funny..."

"Bus fares are extremely expensive all over the
country and even in Suffolk where we get discounted travel if we
have an 'Explore Card' (5-19 year olds) the fares are still
extremely expensive. I believe that all young people should get
free travel as we cannot drive so rely on public transport to get
around. If OAPs get this why can't we? Young people in my mind,
need it more than older people as some of them are still capable of
driving safely, yet we can't drive at all."
