Influence the work of the CWDC
There is a fantastic opportunity for young people to be involved
in influencing the work of CWDC.
Over the last year they have worked with four groups of children
and young people and developed a youth advisory group which now
influences their Board. This group has done some fantastic work and
they now want to expand its membership. That’s why CWDC are looking
for expressions of interest from groups of young people to work
with them from October 2009 and possibly over the next two
years.
They want to increase the size of the youth advisory group,
make it even stronger and to make sure it represents the wide range
of children and young people’s experiences. They are open to
everyone but would be particularly interested in recruiting groups
with disabled young people or with experience of being Looked
After.
If you are interested visit their
site, telephone on 0113 3907671, or
email Alice Taylor to request more
information in word format. They are looking for groups
of five young people, aged 11 to 18.
