Small Actions x Lots of People = Big Change!
If you
could ask one MILLION people to do something to change the world,
what would it be?
MILLION. That’s not a number to be sniffed at. If one million
people cycled to school you would notice it. If we planted one
million trees you might never find it. We want to know what you
would do if you could command one million people to do your
bidding. Feeling bossy?
Feeling bossy?
Well we’re giving you the chance to tell one million people what
to do! All we want from you is to tell us how you think people
could make the world a better place… and if it’s a good idea, as
many as one million people will do it.
We know it's a big question, and one that deserves a good long
think. It's not just about the big things we do like flying in
airplanes less. Small things like making friends with a neighbour,
unplugging your charger or standing up to bullies could make a huge
difference if everyone decided to do it. So your ‘action’ can be as
big or small as you like. Maybe spend a day or two looking around
and noticing things that you would usually walk right by.
When you’ve thought of a good idea, work out how to bring it to
life with a picture and get it onto the competition website, which
launches this October. The best entries will be put together and
sent all over the country to inspire action. The overall winner
will get to see as many as one million people doing what they
asked! Now that's going to make a big difference to our world.
So get your thinking caps on and get involved. It's your world –
how could you make it better?
The competition will run from 15th October until 19th December
2007
